FILA and Lemar and Dauley Collaborate for the #MojitoCage
Lemar & Dauley and FILA join forces to present the co-branded edition of the FILA Cage, nicknamed the #MojitoCage. Lemar & Dauley delves into FILA’s rich basketball archives and selects one of the most prominent street ball shoes from the early 90’s era. The silhouette re-emerges more befitting for today’s player during the summer tournaments and recreational play.
The pair pulls inspiration from summer drinks in Montauk and Atlantic waves, which reflects in the mint pigskin suede on the upper with a matching rubber sole, EVA midsole, and memory foam collar for comfort and stylish flare. In addition the interior lining, foot-bed, and back tongue features L&D’s needlepoint floral pattern. Branding on the back tongue sports the words “The Cage” and “Wave Tribe.” In addition, the #MojitoCage features a special hangtag and boxing to commemorate the collaboration.

Papoose celebrated the drop of his new video “6am” featuring legendary Ice-T, Jim Jones and JadaKiss at NYC’s Studio XX1 last night sponsored by Smoke Drinks.
Papoose was joined by Ice-T, CoCo, JadaKiss, DJ Kayslay, Loaded Lux, Hollywood Chuck,Dj Premier, DJ Big Kap, Jack Thiller, Dylan and many other industry friends. The fans and loyal supporters of Papoose packed out the event, making a perfect combination for a great night.
Music was provided by provided Hot 97 DJ Magic, Shade45 Dj Fugi Slim, and Dj Nu. The video was premiered during the party and immediately following that, Papoose gave the fans an exclusive first listen to “Cigar Society“, his new EP that drops today, March 5th. Before leaving, Ice-T and wife, CoCo and politicked and posed for pictures with the fans.
By the end of the night, everyone was so into the event that it seemed to turn into a mini video shoot with some of the artists featured on the EP that also attended.
To top of an already great night, Papoose also celebrated his birthday, with a Brooklyn-themed cake by the talented Isabella’s Creations with pictures of the EP cover “Cigar Society” which is available now on DatPiff.com. Happy Birthday Papoose!!

It’s that time…time for the people to hear some new heat from one of Hip Hop’s most notorious (anticipated) rappers, Papoose. Before dropping his latest Mixtape “Cigar Society” this March, Papoose is setting off the alarm with his new video for his single “6am” featuring an impressive cast of Hip Hop’s finest. Jim Jones, JadaKiss, and one of the pioneers of “Gangta Rap”, Ice-T, join Papoose on this video to Wake Up the Rap Game.
“6am” brings the drama and story line, that “Real Rap”, which has been sort of missing in the music of today. With the addition of legendary Ice-T, the song reminisces of those hard tracks we loved to hear back in the ’90s but with current lyrical artistry by all featured. The video takes you on a ride which you can envision due to the lyrical storytelling and chemistry between the rappers. Papoose is hitting the game hard with this new video and with his wife, rapper Remy Martin, being released from prison on July 30th, Papoose is in for a great summer!
With his birthday coming up on March 5th, Papoose will be having a video release/birthday party March 4th in NYC hottest Venue Studio XX1 to celebrate. He is dropping a couple of singles off his mix tape “Cigar Society” which has Cassidy, Raekwon and other artists, a gift to his fans!!

This past Wednesday, the industry was treated to a one of a kind mixer that was presented by Marie Driven of Playbook Media Group, called “The Press Play Blogger Appreciation Mixer“.
The event was filled to capacity with bloggers and industry talent such as Thisis50, Jack Thriller, Angel of Concrete loop, Hip Hop Socialite Mara, Ray & Gabe of SFPL, Mizz Siagon of Video City,Seed of Seed Popular, Ralph of Revolt TV, Eve & Ketta Vaughn of Melange Nyc, Celebrity Fitness Guru Tanyka Renee, Pop Artist Chelley, rap artist Young Prince and many more.
Bloggers are rarely singled out in the industry although they are very vocal part of the industry. Many avenues in the industry, such as fashion and music, depend on bloggers to spread the word about their projects. So to have a Bloggers Appreciation Mixer, hosted by Blog Xilla of Global Grind, is something that was well received and appreciated by all in attendance.
The set up of the mixer was pretty dope. Blog Xilla , as the host, picked three other top notch bloggers, Marjus Estevez from Concrete loop, Brittany Lewis from Global Grind, and Rob Markman from MTV. They each gave their top 10 music list to the bloggers sounds DJ Fugi Slim. Each blogger had a chance to give a brief synopsis of their list to the crowd of attendees. This made the mixer truly engaging on a lot of levels. It gave bloggers not only a chance to network but to mingle with one another and have great time.
The event was held in John Ricardo’s Studio in Times Square area that provided a beautiful scenery of the New York City Skyline and was sponsored by Smoke Vodka, Diamond Shisha Hookah, Peach Jewelry, Cupcakes by Violet, and Viva Katerin Cigars. The mixer was truly delectable.
